The main purpose of the seminar is to analyse modern concepts and practices on how to successfully introduce and manage change in organisations and businesses. Specifically, the seminar aims to:

1. Highlight the necessity of change in organisations and businesses and discuss the complexities and challenges they bring to their successful implementation and consolidation.
2. Discuss types of change, causes, stakeholders involved and different management approaches.
3. Describe the process of change, the different stages, based on contemporary models.
4. Analyse the causes of resistance to change, forms of resistance, and how resistance to change can be effectively managed.

The course combines contemporary literature, case studies, presentations, interactive exercises and role-playing activities in both lectures in order to address the following themes:

• Introduction to change management
• Stages of change management
• Resistance to change
• Managing resistance

• Team managers that wish to refresh and deepen their knowledge in human resources management
• Executives that step into team management roles for the first time, or that undertake the management of a new team
