Overview and Scope

The SME Leadership Program, is a crash leadership effectiveness program, aiming to empower SME leaders and managers, with executive and organizational skills and competencies, for rebound, change readiness and growth. In a period of ambiguity and flux, SME leaders face multiple challenges, connected with disruption, digitalization and the health crisis context. In order to effectively address the challenges and to nurture contexts of organizational effectiveness, growth and prosperity for their organizations their people and their customers, SME leaders need to master new tools and skills and to develop new sets of competencies. During this 34 hour program, participants will have the opportunity to engage in collaborative, action – based learning and to become active part of a learning context that boosts managerial acumen and leadership effectiveness.

Content and Flow

Communicating Effectively: Emotional Intelligence and Assertiveness.

The session will unfold around the following themes:

  • Communication tools, strategies and tactics
  • Best Practices
  • Communicating with Impact in challenging contexts: Blending emotional intelligence, empathy, and assertiveness.

Leading Effective Teams & Managing Team Dynamics.

The session evolves along the following themes:

  • Situational Leadership
  • Authentic Leadership
  • Group Dynamics Theory
  • Linking Group Dynamics Theory with The Situational Leadership model
  • Empathy: Use of language & Empathetic listening
  • Storytelling as a powerful leadership tool

Export Management.

This session focuses on equipping professionals with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in the field of export management. Through this seminar, we will delve into market evaluation and selection, as well as emphasize the identification and analysis of potential problems and pitfalls that may arise in the management of exports. Participants gain the ability to evaluate business opportunities and make informed decisions regarding the selection of export markets. They learn to develop effective export strategies tailored to the economic and institutional circumstances, as well as the unique idiosyncrasies of the target market.

Leading through Challenges: Conflict Resolution.

Conflicts within the corporate environment reduce productivity while consuming a great deal of managerial time, only to get temporary results. Cooperation, understanding and quick and effective mechanisms for conflict management and resolution are vital to avoid both personal and economic costs and boost productivity. This seminar addresses the basics of workplace conflict management and combines theory with exercises and  role plays in order to address the following key themes:

  • The cost of unresolved conflict in business
  • Introduction to conflict theory – psychology of conflict
  • Workplace dynamics and conflict roots
  • Interest based negotiations: how to create sustainable relations in the workplace
  • Practical group exercises - Game on collaboration
  • Role plays on common workplace conflict scenarios in small groups with feedback
  • Dispute prevention

From Customer Service to Customer Experience: Unlocking the Secrets.

This highly interactive and experiential session, focuses on the following themes

  • Understanding the Customer, Communicating with Customers and Establishing Rapport
  • Problem Solving
  • Building and Retaining Trust
  • Resilience, Adaptability & Customer Service

  • SME Leaders and managers, that wish to further develop their leadership skills in order to effectively lead their teams and their organization, through disruption and uncertainty, towards sustainability and growth.
